I hold a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from Auburn University. War Eagle!

Where do you work?
I am an officer in the United States Navy working in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion program. I am currently stationed in beautiful Charleston, SC!

What does it mean to you to be a High Fiver?
Mark Stiles, a good friend and fraternity brother, mentioned the group to me and told me about some of the events they were doing and I thought it was a great idea! I asked for the opportunity to hold an event at Auburn and had a blast with it. I love the idea of young people having fun while having a positive effect on the world at the same time. As young adults we are the most influential people in the world on our world, and it would be a shame to waste that influence. Being a High Fiver is great because it is an organization that focuses on raising awareness while having a good time (and if we raise a little money to help the cause, that’s great too!). I also enjoy that any time people are getting together to have a good time, it can become a High Five event simply by mentioning the group. You always get a question when you say “For Hope” while giving a high five! It is an idea that is easy to spread……and that, of course, is the point! Being a High Fiver allows me to have a positive effect in a way that is fun and natural for me, which is to say it is a chance to make a change without changing myself. I eagerly look forward to my future with H54H and hope to help with more events in the near future! High Five!
